This research projects explores how digital constitutionalism can address the governance challenges posed by AI entities in metaverses—virtual, immersive environments increasingly populated not just by humans but also by AI agents. It proposes a framework for regulating these hybrid spaces, where traditional human rights must be reinterpreted and reasserted amid corporate control and algorithmic governance. The researcg argues for embedding constitutional values—like transparency, accountability, and fundamental rights—into the architecture and governance of metaverses, especially when AI agents act autonomously within them.
