Haşim Özpolat

Haşim Özpolat is a Ph.D. candidate in constitutional law at the Marmara University and also works at the same university as research assistant. He was a visiting researcher at the DCU Law and Tech Research Cluster in 2024. His resarch focuses on constitutional regulation of cyberworld. The main subject of his research is creation of a constitutional view for the digital world. In this context, it is aimed to discuss how the elements of nation state, democracy and digital globalization can be reconciled and where the current constitutional theory concepts (sovereignty and legitimacy) fit into this new reality. Finally, alternative models for regulating the internet in the world will be discussed and recommendations will be tried to be produced in line with constitutional values.
