New Routledge Book Series in Digital Law and Governance
Edoardo Celeste (Dublin City University) and Mariëlle Wijermars (Maastricht University) are delighted to launch the new Routledge Series in Digital Law and Governance. This interdisciplinary series explores how digitalisation gives rise to new legal and political challenges, examining how law, policy, and governance are adapting to the complexities of the digital age. By bringing together diverse perspectives from fields such as political science, sociology, and communication studies, it seeks to critically assess existing frameworks and propose innovative approaches to shaping digital law and governance in a rapidly evolving landscape.
The series features standard and short monographs as well as edited collections, with a particular focus on research addressing the regulation and governance of the Internet, artificial intelligence, privacy, data protection and surveillance, virtual reality, social media and online platforms, digital rights, and digital sustainability.
This initiative welcomes contributions from scholars in law and governance, as well as those from related disciplines, who are conducting innovative research in the field. The aim is to foster an interdisciplinary and global perspective on the pressing issues shaping the digital world today.

The editors are happy to discuss proposals for potential books and edited volumes. Please send an email to edoardo.celeste@dcu.ie and m.wijermars@maastrichtuniversity.nl. You can also find the instructions on how to write a proposal below.
