DCU Law and Tech Research Cluster at BILETA 2026

DCU Law and Tech regularly publishes news posts discussing the topics Law and Technology written by a variety of authors.

The DCU Law and Tech Research Cluster was pleased to participate in the BILETA Annual Conference 2026, which took place from 15-17 April 2026. This year’s event was hosted by the Technology Research Group at Aberystwyth University.

The conference theme, “Technology is a useful servant but a dangerous master,” provided a critical backdrop for discussing the future of law, technology, and education. Two members of our team presented their research during the sessions:

  • Dr. Edoardo Celeste presented: “The Data Centre Governance Deficit: An EU Digital Sovereignty Challenge”

  • Karolin Rippich presented: “Whose Best Interests? A Triad Analytical Framework for LGBTQI+, Children’s & Digital Rights”

About BILETA The British and Irish Law, Education and Technology Association (BILETA) is one of the most established networks for technology law scholars. Its annual conference serves as a vital forum for multidisciplinary dialogue on the legal, criminological, and educational challenges of the digital age.

The Cluster is proud to continue its engagement with the BILETA community and contribute to these important international discussions.
