Call for Applications: Research Stay Scholarships at the University of Paris-Est Créteil

DCU Law and Tech regularly publishes news posts discussing the topics Law and Technology written by a variety of authors.

The University of Paris-Est Créteil has announced a call for applications for two research scholarships as part of the upcoming Digital Law Fortnight (Quinzaine du droit du numérique), taking place from 1–12 December 2025.

This annual event brings together scholars and practitioners to discuss the latest developments in digital law and its intersections with computer science. Among its highlights is the day dedicated to “Current PhD Research in Digital Law”, showcasing recently defended doctoral theses and emerging projects in the field.

To further support international collaboration, two PhD students or recent PhD graduates from universities within the EPILDAI network (European PhD in Law, Data, and Artificial Intelligence) will be awarded scholarships for a one-week research stay in Paris and Créteil (1–7 December 2025).

Selected participants will:

  • Conduct research in Paris and Créteil during the first week of the Fortnight
  • Engage with academic activities linked to the event (note: most sessions will be in French)
  • Deliver a 30-minute presentation on their doctoral research or an ongoing project, in English or French

All travel and accommodation expenses will be covered by the University of Paris-Est Créteil.

  1. Curriculum Vitae (CV)

  2. Provisional title of the 30-minute presentation

  3. One research document (e.g. article, working paper, extended abstract, thesis chapter)
